Are
you a knitter or crocheter?
Would you like to share your skills with the next
generation?
Then get involved in Knit-together!
Knit-together
is a Rochford district project for anyone who knits or crochets and would like
to pass on their skills. During May 2012 Jess Worley, a local textile artist,
will be teaching young people how to knit and crochet and working with them to
make artsworks for the Hockley Wild Woods festival. To support this activity we
are looking for a team of crafters to join Jess to make this happen.
So
if you’d like to contribute to a collaborative craft project (that will show at
the Essex Olympics torch relay event), meet new people, share skills and do some
making get involved in Knit-together! To find out more come along to the following
free sessions listed below. At these knit-togethers we will be starting to make the yarn based artwork, getting to know one-another and chatting about the project. All yarns, needles, hooks, and a light lunch provided.
